Thank you to the many friends and supporters of Champaign County CASA! We are indebted to you for our ability to continue serving the abused and neglected children in the community.
We are grateful for the volunteers who advocate for these children and give them a powerful voice. We are thankful for the volunteers who work in the office, and for those who serve on the Board to support the work of the organization.
There are many donors in the community, who have sustained us over the years, and we are deeply grateful for your support and for the relationships we have developed with you. On this site we want to recognize and honor a few of our partners in the community who have been major contributors to Champaign County CASA.
Champaign Rotary Club
In 2008, Champaign Rotary Club awarded Champaign County CASA with a third generous Joseph H. Cannon Memorial Grant which allowed us to purchase a copier system that is networked with our computers, along with three new filing cabinets. We realize that it is highly unusual to be the recipient of three of these grants, and we feel extremely honored. In 2006, the Champaign Rotary Club awarded CASA with a very generous Cannon Grant, with which we purchased all new computers, a new server, and a new telephone system for the office. Having all new equipment has greatly increased the technological capabilities of the office and thus streamlined the workload. In 2003-2005, Champaign Rotary Club awarded CASA with a highly substantial Cannon Grant, which was instrumental in helping to facilitate a phenomenal growth in the number of volunteer advocates. We are extremely grateful to Champaign Rotary Club for all of these generous gifts, which have made a huge difference in the ability of our organization to carry out its work. Thank you, Champaign Rotary Club!
Champaign West Rotary Club
In 2006, Champaign West Rotary Club awarded Champaign County CASA with a Charity Allocation grant to fund the purchase of books and training materials for two full classes of advocates. This generous grant helped us with our ongoing work at the core of our mission -- training advocates to investigate cases and speak up for the best interests of abused and neglected children. We are most grateful to Champaign West Rotary Club!
Community Foundation of East Central Illinois
In 2006, as in many previous years, the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois awarded Champaign County CASA with a grant to fund the purchase of some much-needed office furniture. We were able to obtain the filing cabinets and desks we needed, and create a much more efficient and comfortable work space in the office. The Community Foundation is also managing an endowment fund for Champaign County CASA. This has very exciting possibilities for the future. Thank you so much, Community Foundation!
United Way
United Way has been a crucial partner of Champaign County CASA for many years. Through the coordinated efforts of this wonderful organization, donations from people all over the community are able to find their way to CASA through the grant program of United Way. In addition, it is possible to designate United Way donations so that they are earmarked specifically for CASA. We highly value our ongoing relationship with United Way and their excellent work in the community. Thank you, United Way!
Kappa Alpha Theta
CASA is the philanthropy served by the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Champaign County CASA enjoys a close relationship with the sorority, and nurtures that tie by having one current member of the sorority on the University of Illinois campus serve on our Board of Directors at all times. The Thetas have brought a great deal of talent and energy to their service on the Board, and have also initiated several fundraisers for CASA on their own. CASA is very grateful for this relationship with the women of Kappa Alpha Theta!

Many businesses in Champaign County have been extremely supportive of CASA over the years. Support from corporations makes it possible for Champaign County CASA to continue recruiting, training, and managing more volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children. Here we want to name and thank a few who have been outstanding in their support of our program.
Patterson Office Supplies
For the past few years, Patterson has provided high-quality printing of all of CASA’s invitations, cards, envelopes, event programs, and mailings of all types. They have done beautiful work on short notice, and always with a spirit of generosity and caring. Patterson has been a wonderful corporate partner, and we cherish our relationship with them. Thank you, Patterson Office Supplies!
Cameron’s Catering
Cameron’s has provided in-kind donations of fabulous banquets for CASA events on several occasions. The donations have run the gamut from gourmet box lunches, to spectacular banquets for 150 people -- In every case, exquisite and delicious. Cameron’s has been extremely generous to CASA over the years, and we treasure our relationship with them. Thank you, Cameron’s
Matzner Chiropractic Center
In September 2007, the Matzner Chiropractic Center sponsored a fun run/walk for the benefit of Champaign County CASA. The Matzner center staff did all the work associated with the event, including advertising, seeking sponsors, figuring out logistics, and purchasing prizes and T-shirts. The Matzner center also absorbed all of the costs, and very generously donated all of the funds that were raised directly to CASA. The Matzner Chiropractic Wellness Center is already planning a Children’s Wellness Expo for February 9, 2008, which will further benefit Champaign County CASA. This event will provide all kinds of up-to-date and interesting health information for children in Champaign-Urbana. In addition, more fun runs are also planned for the future! CASA is very grateful for the friendship and support of Dr. Doug Matzner and his staff. Thank you so much, Matzner Chiropractic!
Adams Outdoor Advertising
At one point in 2005, Champaign County CASA received a grant from National CASA to use for advertising, specifically for recruiting advocates. We decided to be bold and use it for billboards, through Adams Outdoor Advertising. These beautiful billboards have been so effective in bringing attention to CASA that we have experienced a surge in volunteers. Our grant paid for only a limited amount of billboard time and space, but Adams has generously donated extra time and space for our use. What great friends they are to CASA! Thank you, Adams Outdoor Advertising!
Circles
On November 19, 2006, Danelle Jameson, owner of Circles Boutique put on a holiday fashion show as a special fundraiser for CASA. The show took place at H2O Salon, and was catered by Classic Events. Ms. Jameson undertook the planning and execution of the whole fundraising event on her own. It was a lovely event, and well-attended. All proceeds were donated to CASA. We are very grateful for the efforts of this incredibly generous business woman, and we value your friendship. Thank you, Danelle Jameson!
